lovepop's Nativity Advent Calendar Is Genius
My better 40% thought it was silly, but the grandkids love it!
The little box comes with 25 sealed envelopes to be opened starting December 1st. Each envelope has a text and a graphic on the outside kind of hinting at what’s inside. The contents are lovepop’s clever paper popups that are utterly delightful and intriguing. They eventually will complete the Nativity pictured on the outside of the box but the numbered envelopes makes it into a calendar. It’s beyond clever
.
Two of the grandkids (ages six and four) take turns opening the envelopes. Occasionally the nine-year old comes down to participate in the opening. They love the suspense and the neat popup action. Today, the six-year old figued out that the whole scene is packed in these 25 envelopes.
Founded by two naval architects, lovepop has a delightful story behind it. Read more here: Link to lovepop's page at Flybridge Capital . I had a chance to invest early on but did not move in time. At least I can enjoy their delightful products.
My wife is now convinced it was worth the $39 it cost; particularly since we can reuse it and it packs neatly into the little magnetic box.
Shout out to Wombi Rose and John Wise!
